🗺️ The 12-Level Learning Journey

The program is broken down into four key stages, allowing for focused, progressive learning:

Stage 1: Foundation (Levels 1 - 3)

• Focus: Core grammar, Pinyin, basic character recognition (approx. 300-600 characters), and daily conversational skills.
• Key Skills: Introducing yourself, ordering food, basic directions, understanding simple sentences.
• Equivalent: Roughly HSK 1 - HSK 2.

Stage 2: Intermediate (Levels 4 - 6)

• Focus: Expanding vocabulary (approx. 600-1500 characters), complex sentence structures, reading short articles, and expressing opinions.
• Key Skills: Discussing hobbies, travel, past experiences, and engaging in short debates.
• Equivalent: Roughly HSK 3 - HSK 4.

Stage 3: Advanced (Levels 7 - 9)

• Focus: Mastering sophisticated vocabulary and idioms (Chengyu), understanding abstract concepts, and reading authentic Chinese texts (news, literature).
• Key Skills: Formal business communication, academic discussions, nuanced storytelling, and cultural commentary.
• Equivalent: Roughly HSK 5.

Stage 4: Mastery (Levels 10 - 12)

• Focus: Achieving near-native fluency, specializing in specific professional or academic fields, and deep cultural understanding.
• Key Skills: Delivering presentations, writing complex reports, translating advanced materials, and consuming Chinese media without subtitles.
• Equivalent: Roughly HSK 6 and above.
